Our Story
Established in 1995, by professional and non-professional women. The Empowerment Association is a nonprofit 501c3 organization, designed to enhance and “empower” underserved populations to reach their highest potential in life.

Our program began by providing free after school tutoring and mentoring services, to elementary school age foster youth in Southern California. Throughout the years the Empowerment Association has developed various programs and projects to assist not only foster youth of all ages, but also individuals affected by poverty, abuse, mental health, and incarceration. In addition, other services were implemented to provide a solid support system for individuals simply in need of fellowship and/or second chances.
Our programs and services are created to meet the needs of the people and their communities. Since the opening of our doors, we have served over a thousand individuals and families.
In the event, that we are unable to provide you with adequate resources to assist your needs, you will be referred to one of our partnering organizations. Our staff will then work directly with you and the partnering organization to assist in your needs being met.
