EMPOWERMENT ASSOCIATION STAFF

Cherolyn Jackson, Executive Director

Cherolyn has a Masters degree in Organizational Management and is a Certified Community Economic Development Practitioner. Ms. Jackson has been instrumental in the success of the Empowerment Association; she is responsible for the day to day administration of the organization as well as ensuring that programs remain on track to meet their objectives. Ms. Jackson is the primary liaison with program partners, community members and funders. She supervises the Case Manager and Resource Referral Specialists.

Darlene Robertson-Colon, Case Manager

Darlene has a BS in Social Work. She has more than 7 years experience with foster youth. Ms. Robertson-Colon is responsible for intake, assessment, development of the Individual Services Plan, referrals and follow-up.

Marlene Broner, Resource Referral Specialist

Marlene has a BA in Business Management and is a former supervisor at the Polinsky Children’s Center. She has five years experience working with foster youth. She is responsible for: intake assistance, planning, development and implementation of activities, updating of community resources.

Mary Cofey, Resource Referral Specialist

Mary is an LVN. She is responsible for intake assistance, planning, development and implementation of activities, updating of community resources.

To be hired, the Volunteer Coordinator is needed for volunteer recruitment, interviewing, background checks, hiring, training and tracking.
